Select Special Terms of service (ToS)

1. General Information

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Select Special (“Product”), provided by Cellstronaut (“We,” “Us,” “Our”). By installing or using the Product, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Product.

Product Overview: Select Special is an add-on for Google Sheets, accessible via the Google Workspace Marketplace. It enables users to find and select specific cells in spreadsheets.

Permissions: The Product requests the following permissions:

Display interface — to load the add-on’s user interface in Google Sheets.
View and manage spreadsheets — to read data and perform operations (copying, adding formulas) in the active spreadsheet. This is the core permission required for most features.
See all spreadsheets — required only for the “Visible cells” feature, which uses the Sheets API. If you don’t need this feature, you can skip granting this permission.
Connect to external service — to verify your license key with Lemon Squeezy. No spreadsheet data is sent.

2. Eligibility

The Product is available for private individuals and businesses.

Minimum Age: Users must be 21 years or older. (If this requirement conflicts with local law, the minimum age will be the legally permissible age.)
Future Changes: We reserve the right to introduce commercial-use restrictions or fees for businesses in the future.

3. Restrictions on Use

By using the Product, you agree to the following:

Prohibited Actions:
- You must not redistribute, modify, or resell the Product.
- You must not use the Product for unlawful, anti-humanitarian, spamming, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful purposes, as determined by the laws of your country of residence.
Compliance: You must ensure that your use of the Product complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Acceptance of Risk: The Product is provided “as is.” You use it at your own risk. See Section 9 for more details.

4. Subscription Features

Our Services provide a core set of features (the “Basic Features”) as described on our website. Additional or enhanced features (“Advanced Features”) may be made available through an active subscription.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove Basic Features and Advanced Features at our sole discretion as the Product evolves. Any updates to the list of Basic and Advanced Features will be published on our website.

Access to Advanced Features requires an active subscription. Activation occurs when a user is granted access to any Advanced Features.

5. Subscription Fees, Payments, and Refunds

By subscribing to our Services, you agree to pay all applicable fees in advance. Subscription fees are billed periodically according to your chosen plan.

All payments are securely processed through Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. By using our Services, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge your designated payment method for recurring payments.

Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied with the Product, you may request a full refund within fourteen (14) days of purchase. After this period, refunds will not be issued for unused subscription periods, partial use, or failure to cancel auto-renewal.

All refund requests are handled through Lemon Squeezy. To request a refund, contact us at support@cellstronaut.com.

In cases of payment failure due to insufficient funds, expired cards, or any other issues, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services until outstanding payments are settled.

It is the user’s responsibility to cancel any auto-renewing subscription before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle. You can manage your subscription through the Lemon Squeezy Customer Portal.

6. Trial Period

A free trial period is automatically available to all new users. The trial provides full access to Advanced Features for a total of thirty (30) days.

Once all thirty days have been used, the trial ends, and a paid subscription is required to continue accessing Advanced Features.

The trial is offered once per user and cannot be renewed.

7. Privacy and Data Handling

Your privacy is important to us. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data from your spreadsheets. The only data collected is anonymous technical error information to help us fix bugs (see “Error Monitoring” below).

Access to Data: The Product reads and modifies spreadsheet data only during user-initiated actions.
No Offline Access: The Product does not retain access to your spreadsheet data once the session ends.
License Data: When you activate a license, the Product connects to Lemon Squeezy for verification. Your license key and associated metadata are stored locally in your Google account.
Error Monitoring: The Product uses Sentry to collect anonymous error data (error messages, stack traces, browser type). No spreadsheet data, personal information, or user-identifiable data is included. This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs. For details, see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
No Other External Transmission: The Product does not transmit spreadsheet data outside Google Apps Script or your browser environment, except for license verification and error monitoring as described above.

8. Ownership and Licensing

All intellectual property rights, including the Product’s code, design, and brand, remain the exclusive property of Cellstronaut.

User License: You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Product.
Restrictions: Users may not modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Product without express permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the functionality, reliability, or suitability of the Product for any particular purpose.
We are not liable for any damages, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Product.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Product.
We are not responsible for loss of data, loss of profits, incompatibility with third-party systems, or issues arising from Google services or Lemon Squeezy’s payment processing.
Support, feature requests, and bug fixes are provided at our discretion and are not guaranteed.

10. Dispute Resolution

Jurisdiction: All disputes arising under these Terms will be governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
Resolution: Disputes will be resolved through arbitration unless local laws require otherwise.
Third-Party Rights: Any trademarks mentioned within the Product belong to their respective owners. No infringement is intended.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Users are responsible for reviewing the latest version. Continued use of the Product constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
