Why you need this tool
This tool simplifies the process of finding and selecting data regions, saving you time and improving accuracy when working with large or complex datasets.
What are data regions?
Data regions refer to contiguous groups of cells in a sheet that are logically grouped together. Typically, you can select a data region manually by pressing Ctrl + A
(Windows) or Cmd + A
(Mac).
However, this tool makes the process more efficient by focusing on relevant data regions automatically.
How to use the tool
First, you need to install the Select Special addon for Google Sheets. Visit the instruction page to learn how to do it step by step.
Select the cells
Start by choosing a cell or range of cells within the region you want to expand to the full data region.
Execute the selection
After selecting the starting range, press the Select button at the bottom of the add-on interface. The tool will automatically identify the data region based on your selection and highlight it, allowing you to work more efficiently within the defined area.
